Super Hero Mystery

Hello this is super Helper (me).

She likes to help people and save the ocean.

One day she found a black  jumper lying on the sand.

She said "I wonder who left this here?"

she wondered.

Then she walked towards the beach then she saw...........POWW!!! she saw a lot of...........

TRASH(GASPS) 

Oh No!! That is not good lets find out who is behind this.

First super Helper followed a trail of chip and lollie packets on the sand. These lead her to a little girl and boy sitting making sand castles. 

"Hello?" she said. With a mouth full of chips the little girl said "YEEEES?!" . Super Helper said "I am Super Helper and I am here to help protect the environment." 

The little girl and boy looked at each other with a suprised look on their faces.

Super Helper said "Do these chip and lollie packets belong to you two?" still shocked to see her they both nodded.

Super Helper said "If these get in to the ocean, these can effect our sea life and most importantly, pollute our beautiful ocean.

The little boy and girl both started crying. Super Helper said "Why are you crying?" They said "We should have put our rubbish in the bin, there were two on the way here!"

Super Helper told them there's no need to cry, just do the right thing and put it in the rubbish next time.

Both children said sorry and promised to never litter again.

Super Helper looked out into the ocean and said "My work her is done! Until next time helpers!

Making Bread with Papa.

 
This is a late post but I wanted to show you all what me and Papa were up to last week.
When my Papa was still in Tonga before coming to NZ, he use to be a baker.
He let me help him make brown bread with raisins.
When the bread came out of the oven, Papa let me brush the water and sugar mix on top to give it the glossy look.
The bread was so yummy and fresh. We added some butter and watched it melt. We also made home made burgers with the bread.

Has anyone else been doing any baking?

On Saturday, I woke up to a package on my doorstep from the Ministry of Education!

I was so excited to see that my learning pack was here that I woke up mum and asked her open it up with me. When I opened the package, inside were the following:

Homework Workbook
Science Books
3 Journals
Refil Pad
Writers Passport
Maths Workbook
Colouring Pencils
3 Pens
Rubber 
Sharpener

When I saw it I thought WOW! That's a lot of work!  

Mum's been helping me with the workbook. I don't know who's having more fun, me or Mum.

Mum also tells me, there is more than enough work here to keep me busy until we return to school! 

Can't wait to show you all what I've been working on.

Did someone say Easter Egg Hunt?

On Monday the 14th we had an Easter egg hunt. 

First my Mum and Aunty hid the eggs around the house.

Once all the eggs were hidden my brother and I were given two bags to put our eggs in.

 We started out by the mailbox then to the side of the house by the swing set. My Papas truck had some eggs on it too. Aunty Liz's car had 2 eggs on the windscreen. Just when I thought it was finished, there were more on the fence, the wooden seat my Papa made and under the trampoline.

It started raining.

My brother and I ran back inside and saw more eggs were hidden inside. We searched all the rooms and found more eggs!!

Finally we finished our egg hunt. I had 49 eggs and my brother PJ only had 22. Of all the eggs we found, my mum said we can have a few eggs each to eat. She said she's saving the rest for next year. BORING!

We had so much fun even with the rain.

Hopefully next year, we can have an egg hunt with the rest of our family so me and my brother can eat more than two eggs!

Our First Lockdown Birthday

       

Guess who turned the big 5!

My little brothers name is PJ and on the weekend, he turned the big 5!

While my brother was asleep in the room, mum and I decorated the couch in the living room because he likes to sleep there sometimes.

We put up a Happy Birthday sign, hung some ribbon from the ceiling and we also blew up some balloons. Once this was done, we wrapped up his presents and placed them on the couch ready for him to open in the morning.

When he woke up, mum told him to go for a shower then put on his Sunday best (just a shirt and a tupenu) ready for our papa to bless him on his special day.

When he saw the decorations and the presents he was sooooooo excited! He asked me who did that and I told him the birthday fairies did it (cause my mum told me to say that). He was so happy.

After our morning prayer PJ got to open his presents. He got a big monster truck and heaps of hot wheels they are his favourite. 

We had a bbq, cake and ice cream.

I cant wait for lock down to be over because PJ will be starting at Point England School with me :)

Last day of school!!

Woke up this morning feeling a little groggy. Maybe its because of the P.E class mum did yesterday. That's right "P.E" class. 

I started by sweeping the hall way with the taufale (tongan broom) . Next, I helped mum do our washing. She said it's good exercise to put the washing in the machine then hang it out as well. Lastly, me and my brother played passes with the netball my mum got from school.

I think this is how my mum did P.E when she was little.

It's a rainy day today so my brother and I will be playing board games and maybe have a movie night too.

Pretty chill day today especially for the last day of school!! I'll be sure to keep checking in during the school holidays :)

When my mum woke me and my brother up for morning prayers, it was quiet. We couldn't hear many cars. We heard birds chirping and 
my baby brother crying for free.

I can't believe I survived my last night of freedom! All the things in my survival kit were all gone! How can that be? I'll tell you how, my baby brother! That's right, he ate my pringles, my chocolate and drank my juice! Mum said he saved me my slime , should I eat that?

Maybe I need to make another survival kit and hide it so he wont find it!

My teacher(mum) said we're doing P.E next. Can't wait to get outside and have some fresh air.

I'll be back to tell you all about our P.E class tomorrow. Be safe and be happy.

Cause and Effect.

1. A little baby crouched down and was                blinded by his over sized baseball helmet.      

2. Due to the fact that the boy accidently  slammed his head on the wall then he got a headache.   

3. His mum came running to save him.  

1. Since the dog was going to fetch the toy, the owner aggressively jerked forward.     

2. The she fell flat on her face.          

3.  The camera person laughed at her 

1. The girl was feeding the ducks on a narrow plank.

2. She splashed in the water.

3. She then lost her balance before diving into the water.

My mum said that tonight when the clock strikes midnight, the whole country will go into lockdown!!!

What does that mean? People throwing locks at eachother? I asked mum, she laughed and said no.

Mum said it means me, mum and my brother will be making survival kits. I've decided, mine will have slime, pringles, juice,toilet paper, chocolate and my chromebook so I can keep the outside world up to date.

Off to finish my school work for the day before doing home economics with my mum (whatever that is).

Check back tomorrow, see if I made it through my last day of freedom...
